Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing practices, with the ability to perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and support patient recovery and well-being. As an RN, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, efficient, and empathetic care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet individual patient needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients of all ages, including those with complex medical conditions and special needs. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories. Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures. Manage patient documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Athena to ensure accurate medical records. Provide patient education on medication management, health coaching, and post care instructions. Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals in acute care environments such as Site Coordinators, CMAs, and Providers. Support infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. . Assist in triage situations by prioritizing patient needs based on acuity levels in urgent or emergency settings. Work with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring hospice or palliative care. Skills Proven experience working as an RN in various healthcare environments such primary, family and urgent care clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such asAthenahealth for accurate documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for documentation accuracy. Skilled in performing clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, EKG's, DOT physicals and sterile technique. Experience administering injections and managing IV infusions with competency in vascular access techniques. Familiarity with acute pain management strategies and medication administration protocols. Ability to assess patient condition through vital signs monitoring and physical examinations; capable of recognizing urgent issues requiring escalation. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients of all ages—including children—and their families. Compassionate approach to working with individuals with disabilities or complex health needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia care. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings like URGENT care while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous.
