Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a fast-paced, dynamic emergency setting and make a real impact as a skilled registered nurse. You'll bring your expertise to a 22-bed Emergency Department that averages 85 patient visits daily and is supported by a strong, collaborative team. This contract opportunity is open to both experienced travel nurses and first-time travelers ready to embrace new challenges.
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible contract-based scheduling Floating may be required within the ER and occasionally to a nearby ER facility
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Emergency Department RN Current Georgia RN license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Basic Cardiac Rhythm recognition Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required TNCC and national emergency nursing certification are preferred Proficiency with drip management (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed) Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality care for a variety of emergency cases, including chest pain, strokes, diabetes, trauma, and mental health crises Maintain optimal patient ratios (typically 1:3-4 depending on zone) Perform phlebotomy and IV insertions; manage advanced equipment like cardiac telemetry, rapid infusers, and glucose monitoring devices Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, intensivists, techs, and case management Participate fully in team huddles, rapid response events, and ongoing education Chart and document in
EPIC EMR
system
