Difference Every Day Position Summary:
As our MDS Coordinator , you will play a vital role in ensuring quality care, reimbursement accuracy, and regulatory compliance by managing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and coordinating all MDS submissions.
Responsibilities:
Complete and oversee accurate and timely MDS assessments Coordinate care plan meetings with interdisciplinary teams Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and CMS regulations Monitor case mix and reimbursement opportunities Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and social services teams Maintain documentation accuracy and survey readiness Educate staff on documentation and assessment processes
Qualifications:
Active RN License required Previous MDS experience preferred Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement systems Strong clinical assessment skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred
