Job Description

Registered Nurse, Mom/Baby
  • PRN, Days Registered Nurse, Mom/Baby Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 North Dallas Parkway, Frisco Texas 75033 Work hours:
PRN III, 7
00am
  • 7:00pm; 6 shifts per 6 week schedule required Mom/Baby Department Highlights
  • 22-bed Maternal/Newborn, couplet care unit
  • Breastfeeding education and support
  • May Float to the 6-bed Level II NICU to assist with feeders and growers
  • Part of the Texas 10-step program Here's What You Need
  • Diploma in Nursing required or
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or
  • BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
  • On year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred
  • RN upon hire required AND
  • BCLS
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • NRP
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
  • CPI
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days and maintained annually What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse
