Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical nursing, demonstrating expertise in patient care within a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in various nursing practices, including aseptic techniques and critical care management. The Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgical procedures. Duties Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Assist in preparing the operating room, including the setup of surgical instruments and equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, NCQA standards, HIPAA regulations, and infection control protocols. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills. Work in other areas as needed (PACU, Pre-op, GI) Experience Candidates should have a robust background in nursing with experience in the following areas considered advantageous: Operating Room (OR) experience Preferable ASC experience Ability to scrub cases would be a huge advantage Proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and basic life support Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities We invite passionate candidates who are committed to providing exceptional patient care to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
