Registered Nurse, Per Diem, Variable Shift, Minor Procedures, Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center

The Minor Procedures RN is responsible for coordinating care delivery within the endoscopy/procedural setting. Must demonstrate strong communication skills, work well in a multi-disciplinary setting and be a strong patient advocate.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Maintains accurate and complete procedural documentation. 2. Responds to the needs of the minor procedures care team including but not limited to, gathering of resources, supplies, equipment, and medications. 3. Maintains aseptic vigilance and supports all team members in this endeavor. 4. Monitors and reports any identified concerns to the appropriate team members. 5. Assists with the flow of patients through minor procedures to optimize efficiency. 6. Collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care, to achieve best patient outcomes. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned

Required:

1. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. 2. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. 3.

BLS & ACLS

certifications. 4. 2+ years current endoscopy, Phase II, or PCU nursing level of care or higher.

Preferred:

1. Bachelor's degree in nursing strongly preferred. a. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date. 2. Master's degree in nursing or related field.
