  • Friday schedule Weekends are rare On-call rotation as needed (3:00 p.m.
  • 7:00 a.

JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia provider continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases, and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions, and assists patient during procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Able to take call 3pm to 7am weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends on rotation. Must be able to respond to SMC within 30 minutes when on call. Current BLS card or completion within 30 days of employment. Current ACLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment preferred. Current PALS certification or completion within 6 months of employment preferred. Basic Computer knowledge.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations. Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write. Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone. Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care. Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel. Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: insert catheters, start IV's, administer medications, and handle instruments).
