Required Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Renal/Medical-Surgical for a travel assignment in a specialized renal and transplant care unit.
This role involves caring for patients with kidney disease, dialysis needs, transplant recovery, and complex medical-surgical conditions in a high-acuity inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and experience working with medically complex patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to renal, transplant, and medical-surgical patients Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Monitor kidney transplant patients during recovery and ongoing treatment Perform peritoneal dialysis care (manual and cycler methods) as required Care for patients with complex renal and multisystem medical conditions Monitor telemetry patients when assigned Administer medications and evaluate patient responses Accurately document patient care within EMR systems Collaborate with nephrologists, transplant teams, and interdisciplinary staff Educate patients and families regarding renal disease management and transplant recovery Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards Float to other units based on staffing needs Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based nursing initiatives Ensure compliance with ANA standards and state nursing regulations Required Qualifications Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License required Diploma in Nursing required (BSN preferred) Current AHA BLS Certification required Previous Medical-Surgical or Renal nursing experience preferred Strong renal, dialysis, or transplant care knowledge highly preferred Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays Excellent critical thinking and patient assessment skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Flexibility to float between units as needed For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
