Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Ophthalmic Ambulatory Surgery Center two days per week. Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients inside the Perioperative, OR, and Post Operative areas. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient care and safety, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Conduct assessments of patients' health status and needs. Maintain a solid understanding, knowledge and principles of aseptic and sterile technique. Implement infecton control protocols to ensure patient safety. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Assist anesthesia providers with patient care. Collaborate in the position and prep of the patient. Perform "Time Out" and verify correct intraocular lens. Assist the surgical team to start case. Compentcy with IV access. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide education and support to patients and their families. Participate in ongiong training and in-vervices. Perform other duties as assigned or requested by Clinical Manager. Qualifications Massachusetts RN licensure, Current BLS certification ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work in partnership with physicians and other clinicians Experience in the perioperative setting is preferred but not required

Pay:

$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
