Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift:

Standard shift (all shifts available), 40 hours/week

3 months to long-term contract (Travel Assignment)

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients of all ages with diverse acute and chronic medical conditions. The role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to respond to emergencies in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Clinical Duties Provide direct nursing care to acute care patients across all age groups. Perform patient admission, including proper identification (x2 verification).

Carry out clinical interventions including:

Dressing changes Medication administration (PO, IM, IV, and other routes) Ambulation assistance and ADLs support Range of motion exercises / limited physical therapy support Respiratory treatments Cardiac telemetry monitoring Perform ongoing nursing reassessments and update care plans based on patient condition changes. Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, and other critical events. Initiate treatments and follow standing orders and unit protocols. Care Planning & Documentation Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans each shift. Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately. Maintain complete and confidential medical records in compliance with CMS and TJC standards. Generate and maintain electronic health records per facility regulations. Patient Education & Communication Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and disease management. Support patients and families in understanding care implications. Maintain professional communication with healthcare teams and providers.

$78.00 - $82.00 per hour
