Responsibilities Administers an assigned nursing program or organizational unit with responsibility for planning, selecting, and/or devising the methods and policies/procedures to be used and for directing nursing supervisors and/or other personnel in the accomplishment of designated goals. Negotiates interdepartmental resources, communicates and plans with managers of staff in other departments to ensure effective level of service to the unit/program.

• Evaluates performance of staff members, including coaching and performance management processes.
• Manages the hiring process.

• Assumes responsibility for patient flow processes. Strategizes to improve efficiency and eliminate barriers that impact patient and family centered care.

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 2 years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability required.
• Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
