Qualifications and Experience:

Active RN license in New York State required Prior experience working as a school nurse or with pediatric populations highly preferred Comfortable providing care to children and adolescents with diverse medical needs Proficient in health assessments, medication administration, and managing both chronic and acute conditions Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities:

Deliver daily and emergency medical care to students and staff during the Extended School Year program Oversee medication administration, including proper documentation and storage Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records Educate students, families, and staff about health, hygiene, and disease prevention measures Respond to healthcare emergencies and support individualized health plans Ensure compliance with all state and school district health policies and protocols Foster a safe, accessible, and caring environment for children with varying health needs Immerse yourself in a dynamic school community where your clinical expertise will have a meaningful impact on students' well-being throughout the summer.
