Description The Summer 2026 L&D Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. If offered, the program will begin on August 24, 2026. This position is for experienced RN's wanting to go into Labor & Delivery with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting. Applications must be completed and submitted via the Internet only. Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs . Most or all positions for L&D will be for night shift. The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to women, their infants, and family members during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum period; and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to perinatal nursing. Estimated pay range for this position is $38.87 - 50.14 / hour depending on experience. Qualifications Qualified candidates interested in the Labor and Delivery Residency must: Have a Current FL RN License Have a current BLS for Healthcare Provider Have 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. All Associate Degree nurses accepted into the program must agree to achieve their BSN degree within 3 years of start date. Candidates selected will need to provide a copy of the following documents: Nursing Degree/Diploma or Official/Unofficial Transcript indicating the nursing degree awarded FL RN license BLS for Healthcare Provider card. BLS must be current until 3/2027 or later.
