Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled professional to deliver essential respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for individuals dedicated to providing high-quality respiratory therapies and patient-focused support.
Schedule & Hours:
Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00pm - 6:30am On-call responsibilities: 4 nights within a 6-week cycle (TP and West coverage) 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Current Ohio license required BLS certification Thorough understanding of respiratory therapy protocols and equipment Strong critical thinking and organizational skills Collaborative attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients based on physician orders and clinical standards Administer oxygen, aerosol, and nebulized medications, and manage ventilator equipment Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies as needed Document all treatments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in medical records Evaluate equipment performance and ensure readiness for use; troubleshoot issues as they arise Respond to emergency situations with prompt, calm intervention Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and techniques Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive care This role offers exposure to a variety of clinical experiences and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
