Registered Respiratory Therapist in Lakewood, OH

Schedule:

13-week contract Night shifts: 3 shifts per week, 6:00pm - 6:30am On-call coverage: 4 nights during every six-week schedule

Qualifications:

Current certification as a Respiratory Therapist with registration (RRT) Valid Ohio state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Active BLS certification required Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to make quick, accurate clinical assessments

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients as ordered by physicians Administer therapeutic procedures, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation support Monitor and record patient progress and modify therapy based on assessment data and medical direction Respond promptly to code situations and emergency respiratory needs Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory care and disease management Take part in on-call duties as scheduled to cover additional units This position offers a dynamic clinical setting, supportive colleagues, and the opportunity to make a real impact on patient care.
