Registered School Nurse

Assess and evaluate students' health conditions and develop appropriate care plans Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies Provide health education and counseling to students, families, and staff Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to promote a healthy school environment Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students using the student management system Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed Provide care for students on a medical bus before school, after school, or during community trips Coordinate with community healthcare providers for specialized services or referrals Job Qualifications Valid RN license (NYS) Knowledge of health coaching principles and techniques Familiarity with medical equipment, such as durable medical equipment (DME) and AED Proficiency in using electronic health record systems Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, staff, and healthcare professionals Compassionate and student-centered approach to healthcare delivery
