Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Registered Veterinary Technician, where your expertise will directly enhance the health and well-being of our animal patients. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care across small animal species, assist veterinarians with complex procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your skills in animal handling, laboratory diagnostics, and critical care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners every day. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations or treatments. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain detailed medical records, including vaccination history, treatment plans, and laboratory results. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately according to veterinary instructions. Support pet owners with pet care advice, including grooming, feeding recommendations, and post-operative instructions. Handle radiographic procedures (X-ray), animal catheterization, and other technical tasks with precision and care. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing dental cleaning as needed. Manage minimal kennel duties including animal feeding during hospitalizations, cleaning, and monitoring animal behavior for signs of distress or illness. Support emergency critical care cases by applying veterinary critical care techniques and animal physiology knowledge to stabilize patients. Experience Prior experience working as a veterinary technician or in a veterinary setting is required. Hands-on experience with laboratory diagnostics such as X-ray imaging or laboratory sample collection and results Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential. Demonstrated ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods for dogs and cats Strong communication skills to effectively educate pet owners about animal health and wellness practices. Pay:
$29.00 - $31.00 per hour
