Treetop Yoga has been part of the Gloucester community for almost two decades. We are a well-established studio on Cape Ann with a loyal and growing student community, a full schedule of classes, and a teaching staff that genuinely cares about what they do. We take the practice seriously -- the philosophy, the anatomy, the sequencing, and the cultural tradition it comes from. We are looking for an instructor who does too. This is not a studio where teachers show up, cue through a playlist, and leave. We want someone who brings real knowledge and presence to the room, who can hold space for a wide range of students, and who wants to be part of building something. If you are a thoughtful, experienced teacher looking for a home studio where your depth will be valued, we would love to hear from you. Class availability varies and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, availability, and the styles they teach. Compensation is per class and commensurate with experience. The role includes a complimentary studio membership. Serious applicants should attach a current resume and a brief teaching bio. What We're Looking For Certified yoga instructor with a minimum 200-hour RYT; 500-hour or advanced training preferred. Five or more years of teaching experience preferred, though exceptional candidates with fewer years will be considered. Proficiency in one or more of the following: Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, or Yin Yoga. The ability to teach multiple styles is a significant plus. Grounded in yoga philosophy, anatomy, and energetics -- and able to weave that knowledge into class naturally, without making it a lecture. A skilled sequencer who can build classes with intention and arc, appropriate for mixed-level students, and not defaulting to power flow as the only mode. Honors the cultural roots of yoga and approaches the practice with humility and integrity. Warm, professional, and genuinely student-centered -- able to read a room, offer thoughtful modifications, and make students at every level feel seen. What the Role Involves Teaching regularly scheduled classes on the Treetop timetable, with a commitment to consistency and punctuality. Willingness to sub for fellow instructors when needed -- we take care of each other here. Active participation in the studio community: promoting classes, engaging with students, and supporting the studio's presence on social media when you're able. Developing and leading specialty workshops, seasonal offerings, or series as your interests and expertise allow. Supporting and collaborating with fellow instructors in a team-first environment.
