Aya Healthcare is seeking an experienced Patient Registration Specialist in Lake Forest, IL for a 3 month contract role!

Contract Length:

12 Weeks We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pre-Service Specialist to support patient access operations at a leading healthcare organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients are properly scheduled, registered, and financially prepared for upcoming services.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and pre-register patients for upcoming medical services Update and verify insurance information accurately Perform medical necessity checks as required Confirm authorizations have been initiated by physician offices Conduct patient check-in and check-out processes Contact patients regarding financial responsibilities and provide clear guidance Maintain accurate records in electronic systems

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of customer service experience Strong typing and data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree Knowledge of healthcare finance and insurance processes Experience in a healthcare setting, especially scheduling or registration Coding certification or NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a respected healthcare system while supporting patient care operations.
