Relief Counselor - Collier House

Relief Counselor The Collier House, located in Keyport, NJ is seeking Relief Counselors to fill shifts from 12am-8am, 8am-4pm & 4pm-12am, including weekends and holidays. Our mission is to promote dignity, hope, compassion and self-worth to young women ages 18-21. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervising the female residents, transporting to appointments and activities, teaching and assisting them to learn independent living skills, self- confidence, respect and responsibility.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor's degree preferred. A valid Driver's license with a clean driving record is required. The ability to bend, climb stairs and lift up to 15 lbs., as needed. Must have good communication skills, be responsible, reliable and flexible with shifts, when necessary. Must learn and practice Sanctuary Model, including adherence to the Seven Commitments and SELF model. Must be able to effectively communicate and work with all levels of program staff and exercise sound judgment when interacting with the residents. Prior experience working with the Sanctuary Model and with adolescent females in a group home setting is a plus.
