Job Description
Overview Short version Learn how to help The Win Center do 3 to 6 different events to help us help mental health consumers with a hand up not a hand out. We need volunteers to commit to completing one event at a time. Must be willing to provide a copy of proof of identity and sign our Core Values Statement. Long Version Join The Win Center as a Professional Volunteer and become a vital part of empowering communities through dedicated service and impactful events. In this role, you will actively engage with diverse populations, support community outreach initiatives, and help foster a welcoming environment for all. Your enthusiasm and commitment will contribute to creating positive change, promoting health and well-being, and strengthening community bonds. This volunteer position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills while making a meaningful difference in people's lives especially doing events. Duties Assist with coordinating and managing volunteer activities you will be participating in and ensuring smooth execution of community programs you participate in. Opportunity to supervise and support fellow volunteers, providing guidance and mentorship to foster teamwork is a possibility not guaranteed Lead public speaking engagements to promote community initiatives and raise awareness about available mental health services Train to implement, and evaluate innovative events aimed at addressing community needs pertaining to mental health and SWAG Tools Opportunity to manage social media platforms to share updates, success stories, and upcoming events to boost engagement is a possibility not mandatory or guaranteed Opportunity to collect and analyze data related to event participation and outcomes to inform future planning Assist with fundraising efforts assisting with organizing events and outreach campaigns to secure resources for ongoing projects Skills Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams effectively not required. Have to be willing to learn what applies to the position you choose. Strong public speaking abilities with confidence in engaging diverse audiences are not required. Have to be willing to learn what applies to the position you choose. Skilled in program development, project management, and strategic planning are not required. Have to be willing to learn what applies to the position you choose. Knowledge of marketing strategies, social media management, and data collection techniques are not required. Have to be willing to learn what applies to the position you choose. Background in mental health recovery, public health, law enforcement, military, federal government, community leadership, parenting or social work is highly desirable are not required. Have to be willing to learn what applies to the position you choose. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate others and lead initiatives Excellent administrative skills including recruiting volunteers, maintaining records, and coordinating schedules Ability to teach or train others in various community service activities with patience and clarity are not required. Have to be willing to learn what applies to the position you choose. Ability to pass a background screening to access certain locations to participate in government or government exclusive events is not required. We will have events in locations fit for all our volunteers to participate is guaranteed. Must be willing to provide a copy of proof of identity and sign our Core Values Statement.
Pay:
$0.50 - $100.00 per hourBenefits:
