Rental/Parts Specialist

RENTAL/PARTS COUNTER SALESPERSON

Crawford's Equipment, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and dependable employee with a positive attitude and excellent communication and organizational skills. Success in this position is heavily dependent upon superior customer service skills, a working knowledge of a wide variety of construction equipment and the ability to respond quickly to requests for assistance from customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service Provide equipment parts answers and solutions for our retail customers in person, at the counter and over the phone, in a timely, courteous and efficient manner Provide complete customer service by accurately determining the needs of the customer as it relates to parts, rental and service support Work closely with the Service and Sales Departments to supply service parts as needed, promote additional sales opportunities, facilitate attachment sales, maintain accurate inventory counts, and offer customer service support when needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment for fellow employees and customers. Create an enticing retail sales environment for our in-store customers Keep accurate records of inventory receipted-in and sold in order to maintain accurate inventory levels Maintain the condition of company inventory, equipment and tools Produce and Inspect all paperwork for accuracy Ability to multi-task and transition easily between the parts inventories of multiple lines of equipment Receive daily and weekly parts orders by verifying part numbers and quantities and allocate them to the proper bin location, customer or service technician Reconcile purchase orders Performs cycle counts routinely so that counts on all parts are completed monthly Fill and ship orders from inventory Maintain a clean and organized parts storage area, parts counter and showroom display area Willing to participate in all training programs and keep current on new product updates Maintain department safety standards, organization and cleanliness Maintain excellent customer relationships through immediate conflict resolution Answer inbound calls for the rental department, taking reservations and setting up rentals for customers. Execute the Rental quote process Prepare rental forms and contracts, obtains customer signature, certificate of Insurance and other information as required. Explain rental fees and provide information about rented items, such as operation or description Compute charges based on rental or service rate Responsible for arranging/dispatching equipment movement for rentals Rents equipment or arranges for provision of service to customer Reserves items for requested time and maintains rental reservation file Additional duties as required by management

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Experience operating a Bobcat or similar compact construction equipment Experience with parts and inventory Able to lift items up to 75 lbs. Superior customer service skills Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to multi-task
