  • Brief Work Unit Description
  • The Performance Health Analysis (PHA) program within the Department of Health and Exercise Science is a community-facing service that promotes health and wellness through evidence-based performance assessments and body composition measures.
  • Essential Job Duties
  • + Perform Phlebotomy procedures and blood processing + Execute VO2 max, submaximal exercise tests, Body Composition, Resting Metabolic Rate testing, and other available tests.
+ Administer advanced assessments like Bod Pod scans and DEXA scans. + Perform Physical Measurements, measure Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) using indirect calorimetry. + Interpret and explain test results to participants. + Measure Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) using indirect calorimetry. + Interpret and explain test results to participants.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • + Prior phlebotomy training and experience + Experience working in a clinical research setting + Experience performing exercise tests or Physical Assessments
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Experience in observational research, surveys, and questionnaires preferred. + Experience with data collection and analysis; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and at least one statistical software package preferred. + Experience with day-to-day organization of research projects, including participant recruitment, coordination of data collection, and data management preferred.
