Required Experience & Education PhD in Chemical Oceanography, Marine Chemistry or similar fields is required. The position requires at least 3-4 years of working and research experience in: Seawater carbonate chemistry and related sample analyses. Water and sediment sampling of carbonate chemistry and other environmental parameters in estuaries and coastal wetlands. Writing computer codes using R, MATLAB, or similar coding software to analyze data sets and implement models to project carbonate chemistry in shelf waters. Publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings in professional conferences and/or workshops. This position requires working in coastal wetlands and other near-shore systems over extended period, and moving large equipment up to 75 lbs at time. Travel for field work and conferences are also required. Preferred Experience & Education Research experiences in coastal carbon cycling, coastal hydrology and wetland biogeochemistry are preferred.Additional Job Requirements Salary Range:
$79,565-$103,133 The salary range provided for this position reflects the expected minimum and maximum base pay for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity and market conditions. In addition to base salary, eligible employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package.
