Resident Aide/Caregiver

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Aide to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in a group home or assisted living environment for third shift and fill-in. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with developmental disabilities and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a Resident Aide, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, clean, and supportive community for all individuals under your care. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, activities, and medication management. Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement and personal growth. Maintain a clean and organized living environment, ensuring all common areas are tidy and welcoming. Lift and assist residents as needed, ensuring their safety during mobility and transfers. Collaborate with other staff members to develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident. Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel. Qualifications Previous experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with home community care practices and assisted living environments is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Compassionate attitude towards working with people with disabilities and a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting residents when necessary. A clean background check is required prior to employment. $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
