Resident Assistant

Job Summary St Joseph is a private owned facility and more of a home care work environment. We provide basic nursing care, skilled nursing and end of life care. We are located in Valatie NY. This is a 32hr weekly position that can be a fixed biweekly schedule. Shift is 11pm-7am. This position requires every other weekend rotating. Very low patient to Resident assistant ratio. We do train on the job so little to no experience, we welcome all. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a retirement home, ensuring their daily needs are met with dignity and respect. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, light housekeeping, meals and laundry. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Implement behavior management techniques to support residents with various needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental and emotional well-being. Communicate effectively with team members, and healthcare professionals regarding resident care plans. Experience Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or group home settings is preferred but not required . Ability to lift and assist residents as needed while ensuring their safety and comfort. Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving are essential. Pay:

$16.63 - $20.00 per hour
