Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Resident Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your energy and empathy will foster a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence for those in your care. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work in a supportive setting that values your skills and commitment to quality care. Shift Sunday through Wednesday, 11:00 am-7:00pm. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques for behavior management and safety Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Engage residents in social activities, fostering community involvement and emotional well-being Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes is highly desirable Demonstrated knowledge of long-term care practices, home & community care, or group home environments Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management techniques Experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring Ability to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and record keeping Valid driver's license for driving residents or supplies when necessary is a plus This role is perfect for caring individuals eager to bring energy and compassion into a dynamic environment.
