Required Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited, state approved RN program or school of nursing.Licensure:
Current MS RN license, MS 90-day temporary permit, or Compact state license.Experience:
One (1) year of clinical nursing experience.Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact or educate residents. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in the long-term care facility. Knowledge of uses and operations of equipment and instruments used in patient care. Must be patient/customer service oriented, projecting professionalism and socio-economic and cultural sensitivity. Working knowledge of electronic medical records. Responsible for the overall completion and accuracy of the residents' Electronic Health Record (EHR) and in regulatory compliance. Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. Practices within legal, ethical and professional boundaries Responsible for the overall completion and accuracy of the residents' Electronic Health Record (EHR). Responsible for conducting daily rounds of all new residents upon admission to ensure the proper level of assimilation is achieved. Verifies all information for new admissions, hospital returns, and discharges for accuracy and completion. , Ensures Physician orders are printed, checked for accuracy within 24 hours of entry. Audits medication rooms, medication carts, and treatment carts weekly for regulatory compliance. Manages Quality Measure of medication errors and lab tracking for regulatory compliance. Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. Provides assistance to team members as requested or required. Regular and timely attendance is required for this job. Participates on committees/councils and performance improvement activities as requested/required. Successful completion of probation and annual skills/competency requirements. Practices within legal, ethical and professional boundaries. Maintains expertise in the area. Serves as a role model by demonstrating positive team-based behaviors. Shows commitment to personal professional growth through the pursuit of advanced knowledge and skills.
