Job Description
RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time (32 hours/week) Residential Assistant / Activities Coordinator. The schedule will be Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Shift differential is available for nights and weekends. Full training will be provided for you to give direct social service assistance to individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness. High school or GED required. Experience in residential facilities, mental health, or behavioral health highly preferred. Valid Tennessee driver's license and a safe driving record that is insurable on Ridgeview's vehicle insurance is required.JOB DUTIES
This position is primarily responsible for the supervision and safety of all residents in a 10 bed group home for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Residential assistants offer daily training to each resident on Activities of Daily Living such as cooking, cleaning and hygiene. RAs distribute medications and ensure that the home is maintained in the manner required by licensure. In addition to Residential Assistant duties, the Activities and Training Coordinator is responsible for the assessment and individualized goal planning of residents, along with coordination of the monthly activities program.BENEFITS
