Summary:
The Residential Coordinator supervises and provides leadership for the Residential Counselors and the assigned Cluster Home staff teams. The Coordinator oversees the operation of the home and ensures quality care and operations that support person centered planning for all individuals. The Residential Coordinator also builds and maintains supportive relationships with community stakeholders.
Staff and Team Leadership:
provide clear and effective leadership and supervision to support and strengthen staff in their roles within the MAB community Personnel Develop and implement staff schedules to maintain appropriate ratios, as specified in the Safety Plan and Individual Safety Assessments. Oversee the accurate and timely completion of residential payroll & attendance records. Provide training and electronic access for staff to ensure efficient and effective implementation of policies and procedures in written communication logs and via all technology tools (share point). Conduct and follow up on annual staff evaluations. Provide on-call support as part of the on-call rotation team. Participate in the interviewing, hiring, on-boarding and evaluating of staff. Supervision Provide 1:1 supervision with each staff member on a bi weekly or weekly basis as needed and follow up as necessary. Convene and facilitate monthly staff and Cluster meetings and follow up with staff as necessary. Provide ongoing supervision and guidance in the moment for staff. Participate in crisis intervention and provide on-call back up as needed.
Quality Assurance:
Manage the house, vehicles and day to day program functions while ensuring that the medical, financial and clinical protocols are followed. Operations Ensure that food and house supplies are purchased in a timely manner. Provide transportation as needed and ensure that house staff have the resources to provide transportation for all participants and their activities/appointments. Oversee daily maintenance needs and repairs for the home and vehicles. Organize, update and maintain training binder including training logs. Compliance Oversee house staff training and implementation of all program policies including documentation, record keeping, communication, mandated reporting, financial management, medical care, and confidentiality. Regulate daily financial ledgers and follow up as needed. Administer and approve petty cash. Monitor participants' bank accounts and follow up as needed. Upload monthly ledgers for each participant. Assist participants in paying the bills. Report concerns, changes and/or discrepancies to the PSD.
Medical/Medications:
Coordinate and advocate for health care services for participants. Supervise and coordinate medication administration practices by and with MAP staff. Ensure all medical appointments are made and kept, and that all the appropriate follow up happens including documentation and assessment for follow up medical care. Coordinate follow up with house staff, nursing and clinical team as needed. Provide training for staff and ensure regular body checks are completed as required. Obtain Medication Administration Certification and dispense medication (MAP?). Utilize the MAP consultant/nurse as necessary and provide systems to allow staff to access MAP consultant. Follow MAP policies and procedures (see attached) including scheduling, audit requirements, administration of meds. Train and supervise staff in MAP implementation.
Person Centered Planning:
Model appropriate, respectful and healthy behavior and relationships with staff and participants. Build and sustain an environment that supports and facilitates participants' choices, interests, skills and needs. Anticipate, prepare for, attend and follow up as necessary from Case Review meetings, Quarterly Reviews and ISPs; including but not limited to data collection, progress notes and assessments. Advocate for participants to ensure their high quality of life.
Community Partnerships:
Build and support relationships within MAB and with external community stakeholders. Establish regular contact with participant's care team and family members as outlined in the ISP. Build and foster appropriate relationships with MAB colleagues, participants and community partners, including house neighbors, medical partners and others in the community who may support the MAB community and participants.
Pay:
$58,565 annually MAB provides all training for MAP certification. Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster healthy relationships with MAB participants and employees. Analytical reader/thinker who can understand and implement state regulations and various record keeping systems in both writing and on the computer. Team player who can give and receive productive direction, use creative problem solving strategies, and provide effective leadership while motivating participants and staff. Bachelor's Degree and/or 2+ years of residential experience required. Demonstrated supervisory skills and experience are required. Comfort with computers and ability to learn new reporting software.
