Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installations. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks on time. Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; identify faults in low voltage and high voltage systems. Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure all work complies with safety regulations. Work on renovation projects, including updating existing wiring or installing new electrical components in older homes. Read schematics accurately for complex systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical components. Collaborate with construction teams on site setup, framing carpentry, and other maintenance person tasks as needed during project execution. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used for each project. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper handling of high voltage systems and low voltage wiring. Communicate effectively with clients to explain work performed and provide recommendations for future upgrades or repairs. Experience Proven experience as a residential electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in homes. (references will be checked) Hands-on experience with commercial electrician tasks is a plus, especially involving schematics for complex systems. Familiarity with commercial electrician practices is advantageous for diverse project exposure. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work safely in various environments. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately—especially those involving NEC standards. Experience working with low voltage systems such as security alarms or home automation is desirable. Knowledge of renovation processes including framing carpentry and general maintenance person skills enhances versatility. Prior experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or high voltage systems adds value to your application.
