In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. Your expertise will ensure our customers enjoy optimal comfort and energy efficiency in their homes. You will work closely with homeowners, contractors, and team members to deliver top-quality HVAC solutions that meet the highest standards of safety and performance. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment following schematics and design plans. Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal operation. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately install equipment. Collaborate with team members on plumbing connections, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and electrical wiring. Utilize welding skills when necessary for custom fabrication or repairs of metal components. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction or property maintenance environments. Proven service technician experience with HVAC installation and repair. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans accurately. Knowledge of plumbing systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and appliance repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with field service operations and equipment repair techniques. Experience working with HVAC/R systems, boilers, and welding processes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL or driver license preferred. Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
