Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource and Referral Specialist to support families, schools, and partner agencies in understanding special education resources and processes aligned with the Blueprint for Improved Results from the New York State Education Department. If you enjoy community outreach, relationship building, and helping families navigate complex systems, this is a meaningful opportunity to make a regional impact. Responsibilities Conduct outreach to schools, early childhood programs, and community agencies Educate families on special education processes, rights, and available resources Collaborate with regional partners and community stakeholders Support updates to statewide community resource mapping Share information with childcare centers, school programs, and agencies in a clear, neutral manner Assist with surveys and data collection from families and partner organizations Travel regularly throughout a multi-county service area Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, or related field At least 1 year of community outreach, education support, or related experience Skills Strong commitment to person-centered planning and community inclusion Experience working with diverse communities and cultures Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to work in school and community-based settings Why Work With Us?
