Principal Position Summary:

The Resource Teacher at Martin Luther High School will have a heart for Jesus and a passion to teach students. Resource Teacher will be responsible for supporting the mission and vision of the organization by designing and implementing educational curriculum in one or more academic, technical, or vocational subjects in the assigned content area and grade level.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Satisfactory background check

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide information to the classroom/subject teacher regarding the academic classroom goals.
• Conference with classroom/subject teacher on student specific accommodations, strategies, and modifications.
• Collaborate to provide classroom support when necessary, per a student's agreement of services if the student is SNSP, service plan outcomes and accommodations, curriculum goals and modifications including but not limited to (scheduling of test, test accommodations, progress monitoring, and running records).
• Provide large group, small group, and individual instructions to students as required.
• Monitor the students in an inclusive classroom setting (academic resource periods).
• Take the lead on assessments and evaluations of outcomes for the student(s).
• Support classroom teachers' assessment and evaluation of student(s).
• Understanding of the Special Needs Scholarship Program.
• Provide feedback and clear communication between the family and school of academic accommodation and needs of the student.
• Facilitate a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
