Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Advance your healthcare career by stepping into a crucial Respiratory Therapist position within a dynamic medical environment. Utilize your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver exceptional respiratory care and support to patients of all ages. This contract opportunity offers meaningful professional experience while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and provide respiratory therapy treatments following physician orders and protocols Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators, oxygen administration equipment, aerosol generators, and other respiratory apparatus Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and interpret results accurately Respond to emergency situations such as Code Blue, providing rapid respiratory intervention as part of the resuscitation team Monitor patient responses and make real-time adjustments to respiratory care plans as needed Educate patients and families on respiratory procedures, equipment use, and at-home care techniques Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of therapies, assessments, and changes in patient status Uphold the highest standards of infection control and safety in all respiratory therapy functions
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Active and current state license in good standing Prior experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred Proficiency with modern respiratory equipment and technology Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication abilities Compassionate, patient-centered approach with attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
