Respiratory Therapist

Position Overview:

Suwannee Medical Personnel is seeking experienced and dependable Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs to provide PRN coverage at a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Hospital in Athens, GA. This role is ideal for clinicians who are comfortable managing medically complex patients requiring extended respiratory support.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver respiratory care to patients with chronic and acute cardiopulmonary conditions Manage ventilators, including setup, monitoring, and weaning protocols Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and oxygen therapy Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response or code situations Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards

Requirements:

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Minimum 1-2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience (LTAC, ICU, or acute care strongly preferred) Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and critical care patients Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently Why Join Suwannee Medical Personnel?
