We are a small, compassionate organization committed to delivering personalized care to over 98 clients, fostering independence and well-being in their daily lives. Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and caring Respite Provider to support an individual with IDD on weekends. This paid position offers meaningful work, flexibility, and the opportunity to build a supportive relationship with both the individual and their family. About the Role The family is looking for respite support for their adult son with IDD. The schedule may include Saturdays, Sundays, or both, depending on the family's activities for that week. The schedule is highly flexible and will ultimately be worked out between the provider and the family, allowing you the opportunity to find hours that work for you and align with the family's goals. The provider may spend time with the individual in the home or take him out into the community for activities. The family is open to discussing occasional overnight support once everyone has met and feels comfortable. Responsibilities Available on Saturdays and Sundays Provide attentive supervision and assistance to clients, ensuring their safety and comfort during your shift Taking client out on community outings, reliable transportation is a must. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain clean and organized living environments by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to hygiene standards Skills Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and detect changes promptly Ability to assist with ADLs, medication management, and vital signs monitoring accurately Comfort with light cleaning tasks necessary for maintaining a safe living space Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental delays in long-term or community settings Join us as a Respite Provider if you're passionate about empowering individuals through compassionate caregiving.
