Job Description

Position Summary The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The Brackett House restaurant, bar, golf course turn, and pool food service areas to ensure exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. This role manages staff, maintains high standards of food and beverage service, ensures financial accountability, and creates a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the quality and reputation of the golf course. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperations Management Oversee all front-of-house operations, including the restaurant, bar, banquet support, tournament food & beverage, and seasonal pool service. Ensure smooth daily service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, tournaments, and special events. Maintain high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and member satisfaction. Monitor dining room appearance, table settings, and overall guest experience. Address member and guest concerns promptly and professionally. Staff Leadership Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff. Foster a positive and professional team environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed. Ensure staff compliance with service standards, dress code, and company policies. Financial Management Manage labor costs, scheduling, and payroll approval. Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and point-of-sale reporting. Assist with budgeting and achieving revenue goals. Control operating expenses and minimize waste. Food and Beverage Coordination Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless service. Assist with menu development, pricing, and seasonal offerings. Maintain beverage inventory and coordinate ordering of liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic products. Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all liquor laws. Member and Event Services Coordinate food and beverage service for golf outings, tournaments, weddings, private events, and club events. Develop strong relationships with members and provide personalized service. Support promotional initiatives and special dining events. Compliance and Safety Ensure adherence to health department regulations and sanitation standards. Maintain all required certifications and licenses. Enforce workplace safety and emergency procedures. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience preferred. Experience in a golf course, country club, or private club environment preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations. Valid alcohol service certification and manager food safety certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
