May 2026 Ashe County Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to partnering with the people of Ashe County to eliminate substandard housing by building and preserving safe, decent, and affordable homes for families in need. The Habitat ReStore in West Jefferson plays a vital role in advancing this mission by generating unrestricted revenue through the sale of donated goods and by serving as a visible community gateway to Habitat's work. Ashe County Habitat for Humanity seeks a skilled, motivated, and community-oriented ReStore Manager to lead daily ReStore operations and maximize the store's financial and mission impact. Position Summary The ReStore Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the Habitat ReStore, including retail operations, donation intake, staff and volunteer supervision, merchandising, and financial reporting. The Manager ensures that the ReStore operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Habitat's mission while achieving revenue goals that support affordable housing in Ashe County.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures the efficient and effective receipt, collection and sale of contributions (cash, furniture, appliances, building materials, etc.) at the ReStore to maximize net revenue in support of the organization's mission. Plans and directs store hours and staffing to ensure appropriate levels of employees, volunteers and supervision. Supervises, trains and provides direction, problem solving and encouragement for ReStore employees and volunteers to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed. Accurately reports sales data, sales tax info, time and expenses. Develops and maintains the ReStore donor database with contact information to support fundraising. Provides a monthly report to the Executive Director and Board of Directors regarding ReStore activities and results, highlighting successes and focusing on opportunities for improvement. Assists with fund-raising activities and other events as needed. Coordinates staff schedules or delegates appropriately. Other duties and activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent Strong communication skills, via all modes of communication, in English (other languages may be a plus) Ability to assess the acceptability and value of donated merchandise and set sale prices striking a balance of expedited sales and maximum revenue Strong collaborative, supportive, and motivating leadership skills Proficiency with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, and social media Demonstrated understanding and enthusiasm for the mission of Habitat for

Humanity Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a nonprofit organization.
• Retail management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and basic marketing.
• Experience supervising staff and volunteers. Other Requirements
• Ability to work Saturdays as part of the regular schedule.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate Habitat for Humanity vehicles as required, in accordance with organizational policies.
• Ability to be physically active for up to six hours at a time.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.

Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage of $20-$25 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience. Five paid holidays per year Paid Time Off (PTO) after six months of employment

Pay:

$41,600.00 - $52,000.00 per year
