Retail Assistant Manager

We're looking for an energetic, positive, reliable, hard-working employee with daytime and weekend availability. The Assistant Manager is a key member of the management team and acts as the lead when the Manager is not present. This role will be responsible for excellent customer service, opening/closing the store, staff oversight, cash and inventory management, sales and other responsibilities as needed. This job offers the opportunity for advancement to a store manager role. We are looking for a candidate with high capability and long-term interest.

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations
• Maintain inventory management system
• Receive product shipments
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked and displays are neat
• Clean up the sales floor, restrooms and back areas
• Assemble new displays and products
• Make someone's day a little brighter!

Requirements:

• Retail experience (12+ months)
• A cheerful, enthusiastic personality
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• A self-starter who takes initiative on tasks and projects
• Solid computer skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Retail experience and product merchandising preferred
• Regular availability for weekends
• Reliable, independent transportation
• The ability to keep moving throughout the day, including lots of trips up and down the stairs (our inventory room is on the second floor—ugh!)
• Successful completion of a background check

Job Type:

Full-Time (4 days/approximately 38 hours per week)
