Duties Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficient management of sales, inventory, and customer service activities Lead, motivate, and supervise staff to achieve sales targets and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team performance Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to attract talented candidates for various roles Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling with accuracy and integrity Maintain inventory control through stock management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and purchasing decisions Utilize POS systems for transactions, sales management, and reporting purposes Coordinate shift management schedules to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours Implement marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and increase foot traffic Monitor retail math metrics such as sales per square foot and profit margins to meet financial goals Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across diverse functions Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, merchandising, and sales management techniques Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations Experience in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, and bookkeeping Knowledge of retail marketing strategies and promotional activities Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally via phone etiquette or in person Previous experience in grocery or specialty retail stores is advantageous but not required Join us as a Retail Assistant Manager where your leadership will shape a vibrant shopping experience!
