Caregiver / Companion Caregiver Job Description We are seeking a compassionate, engaging, and dependable Caregiver to provide companionship-focused support for a client who enjoys conversation, social interaction, and meaningful engagement throughout the day. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, attentive, and values building genuine connections. Responsibilities also include meal preparation, very light housekeeping, and basic catheter care assistance. Responsibilities Provide friendly companionship and conversation Engage client in enjoyable activities, hobbies, and daily interaction Assist with meal planning and simple meal preparation Provide basic catheter care, including monitoring cleanliness, comfort, and notifying appropriate contacts of any concerns Perform very light housekeeping duties such as: Tidying common areas Washing dishes Light laundry Taking out trash Encourage a positive, comfortable, and supportive environment Observe and report any changes in the client's condition, mood, or health needs Maintain professionalism, patience, and reliability during all shifts Expectations Minimal to no personal device usage while on shift Remain attentive, present, and actively engaged with the client Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance Respect client privacy, preferences, and routines Qualifications Previous caregiving or companionship experience preferred, but not required Experience with catheter care preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, patient, and compassionate personality Ability to prepare simple, nutritious meals Ability to perform light physical tasks associated with housekeeping Reliable transportation preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal caregiver is warm, conversational, emotionally attentive, and enjoys spending quality time with others. This position is best suited for someone who naturally connects with people and understands the importance of presence and companionship in caregiving.

Pay:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
