Retail Mortgage Loan Originator

Community First National Bank is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Mortgage Loan Officer. This role is ideal for a professional who has established referral and past client relationships, delivering exceptional client experiences, and growing a sustainable purchase-focused pipeline. Compensation & Benefits 100% commission-based compensation with minimum wage draws based on location. Most senior loan officers earn $150,000+ with unlimited earning potential based on production. Matching 401(k) Health, dental, and vision insurance options Key Duties & Responsibilities Build new business through real estate agent partnerships, referral sources, and proactive local networking - NO bank leads will be provided. Manage individual pipelines by completing new loan applications, condition reviews, and other loan originator tasks within established turn times. Analyze prospective borrowers' financial profiles based on available mortgage programs and eligibility guidelines. Remain current on agency loan guidelines/secondary market investor requirements, pricing policies, banking compliance, and regulations. Key Strengths of our Mortgage Operation Local in-house underwriting and processing for most mortgage programs. 50-state lending authority. The ability to work remotely. Wide range of programs from Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac agency loans, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, 2nd mortgage, HELOCs, DSCR, Reverse mortgages, and non-QM programs. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, and information retention. Detail-oriented, a high degree of accuracy. Self-starter, ability to work independently. Strong communication & organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed. Education & Experience NMLS Licensing required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience. 2+ years of current loan originator experience required. Experience with automated underwriting systems (DU/LP) required. Current knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, and VA guidelines, standards, and practices required. Previous experience with Encompass loan origination software preferred.
