No rental cars provided Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a licensed Retail Pharmacist for a short-term assignment in Cordova, Alaska, supporting a critical access hospital pharmacy. The role involves dispensing medications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing direct patient counseling in a remote healthcare setting. This position requires independence, strong clinical judgment, and adaptability to rural healthcare operations. Key Responsibilities Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations Review prescriptions for dosage accuracy, interactions, and appropriateness Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and adherence Manage retail pharmacy operations and workflow at dispensing window Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams for patient care coordination Maintain complete and accurate pharmacy records and documentation Oversee medication inventory, storage, and ordering processes Ensure compliance with hospital and pharmacy regulatory standards Deliver high-quality patient service in a small community healthcare environment Required Qualifications Active Alaska Pharmacist License Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug safety, and medication therapy management Ability to work independently in a remote facility Strong communication and patient counseling skills High attention to detail and regulatory compliance Preferred Qualifications Prior retail pharmacy experience Hospital pharmacy experience Experience working in rural or critical access healthcare settings For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
