Retail & Rental Associate - Seasonal

Job Overview Wild Meadow Paddlesports is back! We are hiring seasonal team members for a busy waterfront retail and rental operation on Lake Winnipesaukee. This is a great summer opportunity for college students, teachers, recent graduates, or anyone looking for seasonal outdoor work in a fun and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist customers with rentals, purchases, and check-in/check-out processes Help prepare kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, and equipment for daily rentals Process transactions using the register/POS system Keep retail and waterfront areas clean, organized, and guest-ready Restock merchandise and assist with general store upkeep Work as part of a team to support daily operations and customer experience Required Skills & Qualifications Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced seasonal environment Ability to work outdoors in varying summer weather conditions Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible seasonal hours Ability to safely swim in open water conditions Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment up to 50 pounds, including kayaks and paddleboards Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active throughout scheduled shifts Comfortable working near docks, waterfront areas, and shoreline environments Ability to work outdoors in sun, heat, humidity, and occasional light rain Experience Computer literacy. A passion for kayaking, outdoor sports, or other activities is strongly preferred. Knowledge of kayaking, outdoor sporting equipment, gear, and accessories is preferred. Possesses a CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. This position is seasonal between May and September to start. You must be willing to work weekends. Pay is on a biweekly basis.

Pay:
