Retail Sales Associate

Job description We are looking for a member of our team. If you would like make customers happy and send your resume and cover letter explaining why you think you would be a good fit to work with us. Job Duties 1. Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs. 2. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment, exchanges, and security practices. 3. Answer telephone and e mails as required and follow up on customer requests. 4. Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise, based on customer needs and desires. 5. Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers. 6. Estimate cost of merchandise required by a customer. 7. Prepare sales slips and financing contracts. 8. Place special orders to vendors. 9. Make arrangements for delivery, financing, or contracts for merchandise. 10. Maintain the inventory system updated. 11. Maintain records related to sales and inventory. 12. Keep the furniture display neat and presentable. 13. Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts. 14. Clean shelves, counters, tables, etc. 15. Perform any other activities as required. Qualification Requirements 1. Must be 18 years of age or older. 2. Bilingual English-Spanish 3. High school diploma or equivalent. 4. Eight years of working experience. 5. Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times. 6. Professional business attire. 7. Must be available to work Saturdays. 8. Excellent verbal skills. 9. Ability to work well with any type of people Desirable 1. Interior designer / home décor experience or ability
