Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on a wide range of products including horticulture, floral design, and outdoor equipment. Assist customers with product selection, offering expert advice on lawn care, gardening techniques, landscape maintenance, and floral arrangements. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and processing returns or exchanges. Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective stocking and merchandising strategies to enhance the shopping experience. Handle customer inquiries via in-person interactions or e-commerce platforms, ensuring prompt and friendly service. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock replenishment, and assisting with inventory counts. Collaborate with team members to uphold store cleanliness, safety standards, and overall organization for an optimal shopping environment. Skills Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs. Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, floral design, and related outdoor or indoor plant care techniques. Experience with retail math concepts such as pricing, discounts, and sales calculations. Proficiency in using POS systems and cash handling procedures accurately. Excellent organizational skills to manage stocking schedules and merchandising displays effectively. Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to engage positively with shoppers of all backgrounds. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in cashiering and stock management.
