Retail Wine & Beer Sales Associate 1338 South Main Street, Blacksburg, VA 24060 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Job Overview Retail Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the store is well-maintained, and assisting with daily operations at Vintage Cellar. This role includes engaging with customers, handling transactions, and maintaining inventory to enhance the shopping experience. Interest in learning is required, on the job training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and offer assistance in finding products. Provide product recommendations and answer customer inquiries about wine, beer, or other items. Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints professionally.

Sales Transactions:

Operate the POS to process sales accurately and efficiently. Note Special Orders immediately in the Special Orders sheet. Monitor & process online orders in a timely fashion. Handle cash and card transactions securely.

Store Maintenance:

Keep the sales floor clean and organized, including displays and shelves. Tidy common areas, including counters, the register area, and customer pathways. Check for expired or damaged products and remove them from the floor.

Stocking and Inventory:

Receive and unpack deliveries. Restock shelves, ensuring products are displayed attractively and rotated correctly. Conduct periodic inventory counts as needed.

Opening/Closing Procedures:

Follow opening protocols. Execute closing procedures.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations. Communicate issues effectively with coworkers and management. Willing to learn and apply established processes and procedures.
