Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers with product selection, including wine, beverages, and grocery items, offering knowledgeable recommendations Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, cash handling, and receipts Conduct product demos and tastings to educate customers about new or featured items Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled Upsell complementary products and promotions to maximize sales opportunities Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and accurate stock counting Ensure adherence to phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty store environments Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings (English and Spanish or other languages) Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently Experience in conducting product demos or tastings is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Knowledge of wine or beverage products is desirable but not required; willingness to learn is essential Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail This energetic role invites motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy connecting with people.
