REPORTS TO

School Food Service Manager/Principal

JOB GOAL

To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter. Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter. Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area and kitchen. Monitor food safety and temperatures of food in accordance with HAACP standards. Maintain appropriate inventory stock and maintain adequate and clean storage areas. Monitor food usage and appropriately document production records. Perform cashier functions. Fully knowledgeable of meal pattern requirements. Assist in special events as needed. Other duties as assigned by the School Food Service Manager , Principal or Superintendent.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, GED or equivalent Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Preferably have computer skills Satisfactory completion of State mandated health examination.

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the School Food Service Manager/Principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary commensurate with the Russell Independent Schools Classified Salary Schedule.
